'Rith 2010', a 1,600 km relay-run which began in Belfast and will finish in Galway city on St Patrick's Day, will pass through Meath on Wednesday 10th March.

The Vero Moda outlet in Navan Town Centre closed suddenly last Friday with the loss of two full-time and eight part-time jobs after its holding company, Bestseller Retail (Ireland) Ltd, closed 14 of its worst-performing stores as part of a restructuring plan.

Some €2,000 in cash was stolen and significant damage was caused to the two toll booths on the slip roads off the M4 at Enfield, which were broken into during the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

The first ever Meath Food Affair hosted by Meath Tourism at Trim Castle Hotel on Thursday evening last was a phenomenal success as close to 1,000 people attended to celebrate Meath's love of good food.
